The contractor needed shoring for the proposed Mckinney Ranch Pump Station. Site investigation by the contractor indicated soil conditions worse than anticipated. Additionally, the pump station have to be constructed around many obstacles both above and below ground. The shape of the pump station and the additional piping required presented a shoring challenge. We worked with with contractor to use beams in their inventory and the provided fabrication details to reinforce their beams to installed a reinforced waler system with soldier piles to shore this excavation. We were able to help the contractor save on the cost of materials and use their inventory to shore this excavation.
